its her own fault for wearing jeans on the hottest day of the year. the dude thinks he might get lucky, but will later rule that out when he catches wiff of his own peanutbutter-grade swass.
She intentionally wore those jeans for three reasons ... a) shorts aren't cool, b) she's self-conscious about her legs, and c)she gets to look cool by rolling the pants up ... fuckin' hipsters.
