"The mechanics of photography are simply a vehicle; a means toward the manefestation of your felings, concerns and ideas... There are no new subjects; just new ways of seeing the same old things... It is our vision which transforms the mundane into the magical and creates curiosity from the commonplace." - John R. Grady

Tell me; what is it about color displays such as "Marquee Moon". Meant to instill a mood?
I don't think there was the purpose of instilling a particular mood, although the coloring could certainly do just that.
The picture was more about 1) me playing with hue saturation and contrast (on a techincal level) and 2) this odd fascination I have with pictures of pictures. I was always tought to work with the medium and technology in mind. To always know that what was shot was actaully a picture (and not really meant to take the viewer to an alternate reality or something like that). I guess the red surrounding the smaller photo is meant to frame the smaller photo, but also to be part of the larger piece as well, if that makes sense... I chose red because it thought it would blend well between the smaller and larger pics... to blur the lines between them...
